Hey there and welcome! To make your dorm life easier (and much smoother 😉), here are some must-have apps and things you should know before settling in.
Use this app for maintenance requests and reporting issues.
Examples: "The 8th floor is dirty" or "My AC isn't working"
This app lets you activate and pay for the dorm's washing machines and dryers directly from your phone.
Control your air conditioner remotely from your phone — turn it on before you get back from class!
Download the LG ThinQ app
Register and log in
Activate the Wi-Fi component in the AC by pressing and holding the 'Fan Speed' and 'Jet Mode' buttons for 3 seconds
In the app, choose 'Add Device' and click 'Next'
Choose Manually: Air Conditioners → Wall AC
After a few seconds, it will ask for Wi-Fi to connect. If you have a router in your apartment, connect to it in the app so the AC syncs to it.
After adding it to the LG app, you can also add it to Google Home so you can tell Google to turn it on/off and more!
Use the printers at H.I.T with this web-based printing system.
Access the Cross Print portal to print documents from anywhere on campus.
📍 Printer Locations: • Colored Printers: Building 7 • Black & White Printers: Buildings 7 and 5
Stay in the loop with the DormHub Calendar — it's the best way to keep up with parties, game nights, study sessions, and everything happening in the dorms.
